JOB DETAILS: Position Summary

This position provides specialized services in the daily administrative activities of the Academic Affairs Office. The Executive Assistant is an extension of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic affairs and assists the Provost/Vice Chancellor in carrying out the role of the chief academic officer of the institution. The individual oversees scheduling for the Vice Chancellor and Associate Vice Chancellors, prepares meeting materials, coordinates travel, and manages complex budgets for the division. The position requires advanced Excel skills, management of division reports, sound judgment, the ability to operate independently to handle a wide variety of situations, ability to work collaboratively with others (collegiality), excellent communication and organizational skills and an understanding of campus, UW System, and Regent policies.
Shift: 7:45am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.


QUALIFICATIONS: Required Qualifications


Excellent oral and written communication skills High level of knowledge and experience in financial operations, budgeting, and purchasing procedures Excellent organizational skills and work ethic which requires attention to detail and discretion with confidential information Ability to operate independently to handle a wide variety of situations Ability to work collaboratively with others (collegiality) Integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment Experience providing direct support to upper-level management Excellent customer orientation and problem-solving skills Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications

This is an Academic Staff annual appointment, exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment. University sponsorship is not available for this position.
