Responsibilities
• Accurately estimate construction project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates• Use industry-specific software to efficiently calculate cost estimates• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other team members to review and improve cost estimates• Monitor project costs throughout the lifespan of the construction project to ensure compliance with budget and time constraints• Analyze construction documents to understand and identify project requirements• Attend pre-bid meetings• Review subcontractor proposals and work with subcontractors to receive competitive pricing• Prepare and review final proposal pricing
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating• Proficient in industry software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, and PlanSwift• Knowledgeable in construction methods and practices, including pricing, equipment, and labor costs• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
