Position Overview: The EHS Manager will be responsible for the oversight of all environmental, health, and safety processes, initiatives, and programs within the organization. The EHS Manager will utilize their knowledge and expertise to create and implement effective strategies and protocols to ensure compliance with local and federal health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety programs, policies, and procedures. Promote safety awareness and training among staff, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Conduct regular training and safety meetings with employees. Maintain documentation of all safety activities, including inspections, audits, hazard evaluations, and regulatory compliance. Conduct safety audits and inspections in order to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Conduct research and analysis of safety data, trends, and best practices. Develop emergency response plans in response to accidents, natural disasters, or hazardous material spills. Investigate and document incidents and ensure adherence to appropriate safety regulations. Collaborate with other departments and managers to ensure safety standards are properly implemented. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Chemical, Manufacturing, and/or Safety Management. Experience with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Knowledge of industrial hygiene, hazardous materials, and OSHA regulations. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail.
