As the Director of Real Estate, you'll collaborate closely with both the Kiddie Academy Educational Child Care corporate team and our valued franchisees to make a meaningful impact within communities nationwide. Your primary responsibility will involve facilitating the acquisition of real estate, whether through leases or purchase agreements, to support the operation of our franchisee's Academies. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, focusing on the Fairfax, VA area to better serve our franchisees in that region.

Your Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Process-oriented mindset coupled with creative problem-solving skills
- Keen attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively to achieve business objectives
- Proficiency in multitasking, meeting deadlines, and working autonomously
- Prior experience in franchising and/or child care commercial real estate is advantageous
- Strong background in transactional real estate, particularly in commercial-retail settings
- In-depth understanding of commercial real estate leases and contracts, with a focus on identifying quality locations
- Proven ability to network with real estate brokers and developers
- Skilled negotiator with the capacity to secure favorable lease or purchase terms
- Familiarity with tenant improvements and their impact on commercial leases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in utilizing business software for site selection, demographics, and mapping
- Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Persuasive and assertive demeanor in driving deals with franchisees, landlords, and brokers
- Willingness to travel approximately 20-25% of the time
