Beamish, The Living Museum of the North is looking for a creative, forward-thinking and highly-motivated Digital Communications Manager.
Could you lead on digital communications at the world-renowned open air museum, developing and delivering innovative digital projects?
You will oversee the museums Digital Communications Plan as part of the overall communications plan.
Using your experience of developing successful digital communications projects, coupled with your in-depth knowledge of digital developments and trends, and effective use of research and analytics, you will deliver innovative digital projects to meet the needs of users and audiences at the regions most visited attraction.
The role oversees the management of the museums websites and blogs, including new projects, and leading colleagues in the production of creative and successful digital content, inspired by the museums amazing people, stories and collections.
You will lead a small team of two and deputise for the Head of Communications when required.
The role requires exceptional digital and communications skills, excellent attention to detail, and the need to be highly organised with experience of prioritising workloads and working to deadlines.Mainly based at our museum site in Beamish, County Durham, the successful candidate will be joining the world-renowned Beamish Museum as part of the fantastic, friendly team of 400 staff and 400 volunteers, working in the beautiful 350-acre site, with a range of benefits.
