You must live within the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston to be considered for this position.Staff OpeningDevelopment AdministratorAbout the PositionThe Development Administrator will strive to increase donations and grant funding and is responsible for managing the donor database and improving the organization's fundraising efforts mostly through written and administrative tasks.Key ResponsibilitiesDonor ManagementGift processing, including entering donations and producing/sending acknowledgment lettersProduce appeal letters and collaborate with team to create marketing materials for donorsCommunicate with donors intermittently through oral and written meansCollaborate with President and Chief Operating Officer regarding donor stewardshipPlan and organize stewardship eventsMaintain stewardship matrix for donor engagementDatabase ManagementMaintain and oversee donor databaseMaintain donor records in email systemCreate and ensure accuracy of donor giving statementsExport and analyze various donor reportsMaintain and oversee annual gala auction siteCollaborate with team to create website in annual gala auction siteFoundations / Grant WritingPrepare grant requests for local and national foundations, communicating with foundations and collaborating with team when applicableMaintain foundation data base and report on grant spending, working with Finance Director to ensure accuracyBoard FundraisingEngage Board members in fundraising to support the organizationProvide and present quarterly development reports to Development CommitteeParticipate in Development committee meetingsQualifications & ExperienceVocation Ministry seeks applicants who are highly motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized, have strong written and oral communication skills, and have a deep commitment to our mission and work.
