Job Description This role is a blend of production-focused work and Design.
With collaboration and guidance from more senior designers and leadership: Create, produce, and present original creative artwork and concepts to support a variety of merchandising, marketing, and store operations projects and communications. Create visual elements such as logos, original images, and illustrations to help deliver a message Design layouts, including selection of colors, images, and typefaces Learn and follow company brand guidelines and standards Edit and proof artwork for final approval Collaborate with teams throughout the execution of campaigns and projects Develop an understanding of Plan to Win (PTW), store signage design, and production process. Design focus on PTW with additional miscellaneous design work. Adhere to project deadlines Develop confidence in speaking about and presenting design work to other members of the design and brand teams See projects through from inception to production Offer input in creative meetings and share ideas Develop knowledge and produce store signage Safeguard, maintain and improve company design standards Help to further evolve the Pilot Flying J brand and creative promotional direction Meet with internal stakeholders to determine the scope of projects Creative project scope responsibilities Assist in mentorship of Production Designers Model behaviors that support the company's common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Complete other duties as assigned Qualifications 2-3 years of Graphic Design experience is preferred. Ability to present portfolio of creative work. Associate ' s or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or work experience equivalency is preferred Specialized Knowledge Intermediate Adobe CC skill required. Intermediate understanding of visual elements (layout and typography) Ability to operate in an Apple environment Competencies Greater demonstration of time management and multi-tasking skills Demonstrates ability to maintain multiple projects Strong communications with clients and teams Strong talent for creativity and problem-solving aptitude Fosters active sharing of ideas and collaboration with other team members Basic presentation skills Ability to build and sustain professional relationships Motivated, flexible, can handle a fast-paced and ever-changing environment Ability to keep up to date with software and computer technologies Additional Information Travel Travel required less than 5 %
