Description
Our Client, a leader in commercial real estate and facilities/asset management is seeking to add a Data Engineer to its team. This role is HYBRID in Richardson, TX and works Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. This is a contract to hire role that pays $43-45 per hour. Upon conversion this role offers increased compensation,an annual bonus plan, and a strong benefit package.
The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and expansion of data strategy to support IT Asset Management within a global company. Working closely with team members and various business departments, the Data Engineer will be responsible for building, developing, and optimizing data processes across the product pipeline, from ingestion to storage, retrieval, and beyond. This position requires a deep understanding of technical and functional aspects of products and data integrations, along with proficiency in relevant programming languages and tools.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in technical and functional aspects of products and data integrations.
Analyze how licensing is being used and identify opportunities to downgrade and optimize savings.
Develop and optimize existing integrations and data analytics, identifying opportunities for cost savings through licensing downgrading.
Proactively identify internal and external dependencies, highlight issues, scope changes, and monitor progress against project plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Analysts and Web App/Dashboard Developers, to implement feature pipelines and product databases.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide technical support during and after product implementation.
Stay updated on best practices surrounding data strategy to support Gen AI products.
Education: Bachelor's Degree required
Experience and Skills: 3+ years of relevant work experience
Understanding of complex data flows, identification of data processing bottlenecks, and designing and implementing solutions.
Ability to assess business rules, collaborate with stakeholders, and perform source-to-target data mapping, design, and review.
Proficiency in C#, Python, SQL.
Experience working with Azure Functions.
Experience working with PowerBI and other Microsoft Power Platform products.
Experience in software development in a production environment.
Experience in cloud computing and data storage.
Experience processing large sets of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data (cleansing, storage, retrieval).
Experience supporting Web Applications is preferred.
Proven ability to balance and manage multiple, competing priorities.
Collaborative interpersonal skills and ability to work within cross-functional team.
