Corporate Counsel, Kuiper

DESCRIPTION We are seeking an experienced lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Project Kuiper. Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
As a rising-star Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for counseling the Kuiper team on novel legal issues. You will handle legal issues in business-centric ways and develop processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to quickly develop services that prioritize and delight our customers.
This position can be based in Redmond, WA or Arlington, VA. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required. No space travel is anticipated at this time.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Redmond, WA, USA BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
