Details of the offer

Two Sigma is a financial sciences company, combining data analysis, invention, and rigorous inquiry to help solve the toughest challenges in investment management, insurance technology, securities, private equity, and venture capital.

Our team of scientists, technologists, and academics looks beyond the traditional to develop creative solutions to some of the world's most complex economic problems.

Two Sigma Security is composed of world-class security professionals who are well-suited to developing groundbreaking technical solutions to difficult problems; similarly, our Engineering arm is filled with amazing engineers committed to rapidly developing technology that enables the business to push the boundaries of what is possible. We need someone who can help keep those areas aligned at a tactical level where project and business needs meet high-end security requirements, and to do so at a pace that matches Two Sigma's focus on rapid innovation. This person will be expected to work closely with stakeholders throughout the organization and at any level, from junior ICs to senior leadership.

You will also be expected to raise the bar on how we do program management across Two Sigma. You will partner with and influence Two Sigma product management, finance, engineering, business partners, leaders and your fellow TPMs as we build out our technical program management capability and incorporate this into the Two Sigma DNA. You will work alongside a group of very capable, motivated people looking to tackle some of the most exciting and challenging problems in security.

You will take on the following responsibilities:

Own Two Sigma's internal security consulting service. Set direction, monitor process health metrics, set and monitor SLAs, and work to continually improve that process.
Manage, implement and successfully execute complex technology or program roll-outs and cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams and regions.
Work with internal customers to understand business and technical requirements, identify appropriate Security resources, and schedule and monitor engagements.
Own critical communication and resolution for key issues that introduce security or project execution risk
Collaborate with key stakeholders with similar processes to ensure process efficiency (e.g., Purchasing, Legal)
Create tools, processes, and documentation to increase the throughput of the engineering teams and to drive better business outcomes. Automate whatever parts of the process can reasonably be automated.
Work with the broader Two Sigma TPM team to define optimal TPM standards and tooling to significantly raise the TPM bar.

You should possess the following qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2-5 years of experience preferred in Technical Program Management
BS or equivalent work experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (an MS is a plus).
Ability to rapidly digest new technologies and technical concepts, identify key issues in a technical discussion, and summarize back to technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to perform "intake" on business or technical requests, identify Security requirements implied by business requests, and translate technical concepts back to non-technical requesters as needed.
Solid foundational technical expertise; technical security expertise and software engineering expertise a plus.

You will enjoy the following benefits:

Core Benefits: Fully paid medical and dental insurance premiums for employees and dependents, 401k match, employer-paid life & disability insurance
Perks: Onsite gyms with laundry service, wellness activities, casual dress, snacks, game rooms
Learning: Tuition reimbursement, conference and training sponsorship
Time Off: Generous vacation, sick days, and paid caregiver leaves

The base pay for this role will be between $125,000 and $225,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We do not discriminate based upon race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or any other applicable legally protected characteristics.
