Job Description Responsibilities: 1. Teacher Education Placement. Be a primary resource of information regarding education programs and support and facilitate clear and concise student teaching placement processes in collaboration with academic departments. Provide leadership and coordination with external community linkages and initiatives to enhance and strengthen Winona State and support community-based learning opportunities. Present and participate in college events and department activities to enhance student enrollment into teacher education programs. Ensure implementation of policies and procedures to improve and enhance the teacher education placement processes.
2. Teacher Education Advising. Provide support for the Center for Student Success, COE programs and enrolled students through advising. Conduct advising of post-baccalaureate and transfer students for graduate and undergraduate Teacher Education programs. Provide information to students regarding licensing.
3. Information Management. Collect, compile, analyze, and provide data related to the Center for Student Success placement and advising processes, using this information to ensure timely and student-focused workflow. Collaborate with COE departments on Education Program Assessments.
4. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of Winona State University. Including but not limited to participating on committees and work groups and participating in professional development opportunities.



Working Conditions Must be able to travel independently. Some overnight travel Limited evening activities, such as fundraising events, professional development opportunities, College-wide activities and functions Physical Effort Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in related field and one year of professional experience in an education setting or bachelor's degree in related field and two years of professional experience in education setting. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: Experience working directly with students. Demonstrated oral, verbal, and written communication skills sufficient to communicate in writing, over the phone, and prepare and deliver presentation. Demonstrated ability for creative problem solving and the ability to understand complex systems. Demonstrated organizational skills. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Ability to speak in public. Professional Work Experience with P-12 schools Professional Work Experience in post-secondary education Demonstrated Knowledge in student advising models. Demonstrated ability for handling multiple projects simultaneously. Other Requirements A complete online application will include:
