About the Role
We are currently in search of a Consultant - Financial Accounting and Reporting to join our esteemed North American Global Business Services team.
Responsibilities
Spearhead process enhancements, automation, and other optimizations across the entire RTR team to revolutionize our workflow.
Ensure timely and accurate U.S. GAAP general ledger data, maintaining financial and regulatory compliance for North America.
Provide guidance and training on intricate accounting processes such as derivatives, benefits, and compensation, fostering team optimization and development.
Serve as a beacon of expertise for accounting processes, Corporate Financial Instructions (CFIs), and U.S. GAAP matters, ensuring proper application across local and regional teams.
Lead various accounting initiatives including system implementations, CFI change requests, and adherence to U.S. GAAP updates.
Act as an internal control expert, cultivating a robust internal control culture within Global Business Services.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance general ledger accounting processes, driving efficiency gains year over year.
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, catering to key stakeholders such as the Corporate Controller's Office, Corporate Tax, Risk Management, Legal, and Corporate Treasury.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance.
Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal acumen with a focus on continuous improvement.
Advanced Degree and/or CPA/CMA preferred.
6-8 years of accounting experience preferred; leadership experience strongly desired.
Proficiency in SAP or other ERP environments.
Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles.
Demonstrated ability to inspire and influence others.
