Details of the offer

The Communications Systems Administrator must have a deep and broad knowledge of computer systems and networks. The Communications Systems Administrator will be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting computer systems operated and maintained by MPU in support of email, and unified communications. The Communications Systems Administrator will design and oversee systems used to facilitate communications for MPU and the City of Manitowoc.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities: This role insures the integrity of the network and network servers including security in support of Microsoft Exchange and VOIP phone systems.
Maintains users in O365 environments and troubleshoots problems reported by users to isolate issues.
Assigns configuration of authentication and authorizations of directory services;
Maintains the VOIP phone system including user adds, phone tree maintenance, phone issues and other related tasks;
Aware of current trends in information technology and other related areas.
Attends conferences, workshops and other training as needed and shares this new information with the team.
Handles application related trouble calls.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences or Engineering. An equivalent degree and experience will be taken into consideration. Experience with VMWare ESXi, Microsoft Operating Systems, O365 applications, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SharePoint technology, and VOIP phone systems. Experience with VMware Horizon a plus. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Extensive knowledge of Windows and Office products. Project management skills are a plus. Ability to learn new techniques and technologies.
