Blade Operator

Southland Holdings is currently accepting resumes  to join our team as a Blade Operator in Benton, AR Requirements: • Experience  in the operation of BLADE - grading equipment 
• Physically capable of navigating rugged terrain for the purpose of performing the duties outlined
• Must work in all weather conditions and be prepared for both extreme heat and cold - Knowledge of sub-base materials and aggregation placement and compaction
• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures including but not limited to backing up procedures, use of flagmen and spotters, signage, incident reporting, required personal safety equipment and lifting of heavy loads.
• Knowledge of underground and overhead services and articulation
• Ability to stand, squat, stoop, bend, lift for extended periods of time
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Must be able to work independently and maintain a schedule of work.
• Knowledge of the Grader capabilities; load charts; critical picks
• Must be able to work independently and maintain a schedule of work
• Must pass post offer drug screen
Desired qualifications: • 1+ years' experience as a BLADE OPERATOR - operation of heavy equipment 
• OSHA safety training and a current First Aid and CPR certificate
