Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor Job Status: Full-time COVID-19 VACCINATIONS: Highly recommended for all newly hired employees in Community Health and Resource Center. Job Summary: Under limited supervision, the Supervisor of Behavioral Health Clinical is responsible for managing the daily clinical activities of the Behavioral Health Clinic. Leads defined work and/or projects of moderate scope and complexity. Provides oversight of staff, evaluates the programs overall effectiveness to ensure its consistency with the agency's purpose, approach, policies and procedures. Uses specialized knowledge in office administration and skills obtained through experience, specialized training or certification to coordinate and/or perform a full range of administrative duties in support of the assigned functional unit. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and responsible for the training and compliance of HIPAA laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise staff (plan, assign, monitor and manage the work of others)Coach and mentor subordinatesReview performance and evaluate results achieved by subordinates and may ensure that performance is constantly meeting expectations and standardsUtilize quality improvement initiatives to assist teams in improving patient outcomes and achieving health goals over timeProvide staff trainingEnsure program goals are met in accordance with funding requirementsMonitor and evaluate daily workflow and implement a process of continuous improvementAdvocate on behalf of client when providing necessary referrals and contacts with other departments, agencies and/or companiesWork with senior management to develop, implement and monitor effective programsManage the overall operations of the assigned functional area(s) to ensure that services and quality standards are maintainedMonitor the health needs of the agency's target populations and adapt operations as necessaryAssure smooth operations and communication between Intake, Billing, Referrals, ACCESS and clinic operationsInterpret, apply and recommend changes to policies and procedures of assigned functional unitAttend and participate in all meetings, including management meetings, related to assigned functional unit and/or projects which may include attending community-based meetings and maintaining community relationshipsResearch and locate available help outlets based on identified needs of the client which may include both in-house and external referralsAdvocate on behalf of clients when providing necessary contacts with other agencies/companiesEnsure licensing and credentialing standards are met and maintainedMust participate in all auditsMay engage in the review and approve time worked and requests for time offMay perform functions of a direct report in their absence or as neededMay complete all necessary reports in a timely fashion as required by funding sources and/or monitor and review reporting done by direct reportsMay generate daily, weekly and monthly reports regarding clinic performanceOperate standard office equipment and use required software applicationsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of:
Intermediate to advanced concepts, principles and practices of office managementCommunity resources including social services agencies and crisis intervention providersProcesses, rules and regulations of various services and funding agencies surrounding the eligibility and maintenance of the services being receivedSkill in:
Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications, including Microsoft OfficeAbility to:
Promote excellent customer serviceDevelop, implement and maintain office policies and proceduresPartner with other functional areas to accomplish objectivesFacilitate meetings, ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas and problems are addressedInterpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriateOrganize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlinesCommunicate effectively, both orally and in writingEstablish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization and within the communities servedSpeak and write in EnglishInterpret, speak and write in Arabic, Spanish or other native language of the predominant service population preferredMaintain confidentiality of agency; protect patient confidentiality per policies and proceduresEducational/Previous Experience Requirements: Minimum Degree Required:Master's degreeRequired Disciplines:Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other behavioral health field~and~
At least 3 to 5 years of management experienceDemonstrated competencies in assessment and treatment planningAny equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by Human ResourcesLicenses/Certifications: Licenses/Certifications Required at Date of Hire:Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)Licensed Psychologist (LP)Working Conditions: Hours: Normal business hours, some additional hours may be required
Travel Required: Local travel, up to 10%
Working Environment: Climate controlled office
