Q Center is looking for a Full Time Audio Visual Technician to join our team!Job SummaryThe Audio-Visual Technician is responsible for the set up and operation of audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment. This position will ensure the event is executed flawlessly through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of audio visual equipment. The Audio Visual Technician will understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operation ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues.The schedule for this position varies for event coverage, including days, afternoons, and evenings throughout the week and weekend.Starting rate for this position is $27.00/hour.BenefitsPaid time off401(K) with employer matchHoliday PayMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Wellness CreditsEmployee Assistance ProgramBasic Life, AD&DDisability BenefitsEmployee MealsEducation & ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a related field preferredOne year of hospitality or customer service experience preferred.One year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred.Physical RequirementsFlexible and long hours sometimes required, including some weekends and evenings.Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.Ability to stand during entire shift.Fundamental RequirementsAssociates must, at all times, be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests and fellow associates.Set up and operate audio and video equipment, including sound systems, microphones, speakers, projectors, screens, lighting systems, and other AV components.Use project paperwork to determine accurate equipment needs.Understand systems signal flow and routing.Perform preventative maintenance and testing of equipment to ensure equipment is show ready.Inspect equipment and hardware to identify any safety concerns.Effectively and efficiently work to troubleshoot and debug systems.Inventory and store AV equipment post event ensuring it is ready for the next event.Be able to interact with outside vendors and freelancers.Perform other duties as requested by management.Maintain professional and technical knowledge, staying abreast of the latest technology as needed to meet evolving needs.Ensure overall guest satisfaction.The Q Center:Q Center is more than a conference center – it's an experience!
