Position Summary: The Associate Vice President for Benefits will manage the benefit programs of the Arkansas State University System and will report to the A-State System Vice President of Finance
Duties & Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include directing the administration of insurance, retirement, and other benefits programs Evaluating and developing recommendations for improvements to faculty and staff employer-sponsored benefit programs Negotiating contractual agreements and renewals with carriers Directing the system-wide Benefits Committee Analyzing legislation related to retirement and other benefits programs Managing funds related to the benefits programs Other duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge on insurance, retirement, and other benefits programs
General Days/Hours: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Health Care Administration or a related field
