We are on the lookout for a seasoned Vice President for our Commercial Construction Division to join our team in Central Arkansas. This pivotal role is designed for a leader passionate about achieving excellence and spearheading the success of our Project Management Team.
As the Vice President, you will play a critical role in guiding and overseeing the work of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Coordinators, and Project Assistants, ensuring all tasks and duties are executed impeccably. Your leadership will foster a culture of synergy and positivity, aligning closely with our organizational goals and vision. Reporting directly to the Division President, your insights and actions will be fundamental to our division's success.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and guide a diverse team, including Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Coordinators, Assistants, and Superintendents.
Delegate responsibilities effectively to ensure operational excellence.
Engage in recruitment and promotional activities, contributing to the strategic growth of the team.
Conduct performance evaluations, oversee compensation decisions, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary.
Offer strategic insights into division workload scheduling to support overall management and growth objectives.
Monitor project costs, including regular reviews of labor costs and job cost projections.
Maintain robust communication with clients and architects throughout project lifecycles.
Foster strong relationships with both new and existing clients, enhancing community presence.
Provide support in resolving project-related issues and disputes, ensuring smooth operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
At least 5 years in a senior project management role, managing commercial/industrial construction projects valued between $30M and $100M or higher.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Project Management software.
Strong knowledge of construction drawings, building codes, and AIA documents.
Excellent communication, organizational, and financial skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Procore, Vista, Docuware, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project is advantageous but not mandatory.
