Job Description and Duties Under the general direction of and in partnership with the Deputy Director, Administrative Services Division (ASD), the Assistant Deputy Director (ADD) for ASD is responsible for the oversight of the Fiscal Management and the Human Resources Branch. The ADD partners with the Deputy Director in planning, organizing, and coordinating the operations of the division. Other responsibilities also include reviewing, updating, improving, developing, and implementing administrative services policies, procedures, and processes. The ADD will also manage, lead, and participate in completing cross divisional projects and trainings to create system efficiencies and improvements that will directly or indirectly result in employment, independence, and equality for individuals with disabilities.

Special Requirements Statement of Qualifications (SOQ)
In addition to the State Examination/Employment Application (STD 678), applicants are required to submit an SOQ. Applications received without a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) will be disqualified. Cover letters and resumes do not take the place of the SOQ.
These guidelines must be followed when completing the SOQ:
Include the title, "Statement of Qualifications," at the top of the first page. Responses must be no more than three pages in length, single-sided, and in no less than Arial 12-point font size. Address and number each item in the same order as listed below and include specific examples. In your SOQ, address the following questions:
Describe your experience in managing/oversight in the various administrative functions, including but not limited to accounting services, budgets, contracts and procurement, business services, personnel services, labor relations, and staff development. Describe your experience in personnel management and leadership with demonstrated ability to collaboratively plan, organize, motivate, and direct multidisciplinary staff in the areas of establishing partnerships, customer service, training, motivation, recognition, progressive discipline, and equal employment opportunity objectives. Describe your experience working across internal and external organizational structures to create system improvements, efficiencies and improvements that will directly or indirectly result in employment, independence, and equality for individuals with disabilities. Describe your experience working with other State, local and federal entities to assure coordinated and efficient administration program services. Describe your experience with policy development and implementation for administrative functions including contracts, business services, human resources, and fiscal management.
