Apprentice-Skilled Technician

Job summary
Woody Buick GMC is seeking Apprentice and Skilled Technicians for full and part time in a Local 701 Union Shop.
Job seniority: entry level
Responsibilities
• Perform thorough multipoint inspections• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency in accordance with dealership and/or General Motors standards• Preform lube, oil and filter changes, tire rotations and fluid top-off• Tire rotations as well as repairing, mounting and balancing• Explain recommendations in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in training sessions in order to advance career and stay abreast with rapidly changing technology• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
Requirements
• General knowledge of automobiles• Hold a valid driver's license• Basic computer skills• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Experience with automatic• Maintain current factory training• Hold a valid driver's license• Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
