Position Description:

Application Analyst I will be a multifaceted role with a major focus on Digital Dentistry, a role that bridges technology, patient care and education, a dynamic combination that promises exciting challenges and opportunities! From exploring new technology, handling contracts internally and externally, working closely with the Applications manager and IT Director, to overseeing support for the multiple disciplines within Dentistry where Digital technology is concerned, both pre-clinical and clinical.

The position will also help support the schools Electronic Health Record (EHR)and multiple Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and other business-related applications. As a tier 1 you will form part of the Applications team, a group within Dental Informatics, reporting directly to the Applications manager. With a customer centric approach, the successful candidate will play an integral part in creating excellence in dental care and education.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Digital Dentistry Technology
Provide support for Digital dentistry technology on site ensuring all systems are running optimally, are up to date and in compliance.
Gain a deep knowledge and understanding of digital dentistry technologies at ULSD.
Stay informed about emerging digital dentistry technologies.
Recommend innovative solutions to enhance, education, patient care and operational efficiency.
Evaluate new tools, software, and hardware relevant to the school's mission.
Assist in creating workflows that help meet dentistry goals while also ensuring safeguards are in place that align with the University security and compliance posture.
Build relationships internally and externally to ensure seamless integration.
Conduct training sessions where applicable on security, compliance, and use of systems in conjunction with university policies and external vendors.
Ensuring end users are fully aware of the importance of security and compliance.
Collaboration Across Departments, bridging gaps.
Work closely with dentists, hygienists, lab technicians, and administrative staff.
Understand their needs, address challenges, and facilitate the adoption of digital tools.
Electronic Health Record. (EHR) Provide additional support for the schools EHR including but not limited to Account management, form creation and troubleshooting, scheduling assistance.
Working with the team to implement custom reports using tools such as Crystal reports, info manager and other analytics reporting software.
Perform regulatory maintenance, bugs and fixes and new deployment testing.
Develop and execute operational changes to business processes as related to computing enhancements.
As required work with the Apps team and our EHR vendor on API development and integration.
Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) Support day-to-day implementation and support of PACS software and attached equipment, including image workflow, archiving, auto routing, prefetching, and other related activities.
Work closely with radiology faculty and staff to ensure timely and complete capture of DICOM digital image data into the PACS systems, as well as network transmission, validation, and exceptions handling.
Other Duties Occasionally, offer additional support to Desktop and Infrastructure groups where necessary.
Document procedures for troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades and maintain the same for all aspects pertaining to the Applications support roles. Help create standards and policies based on the schools' best practices.
May present on a number of topics to students, faculty, and staff, pertaining to the school's operation and needs.
Successfully complete work order requests as assigned. Some work orders may require research and determinations outside your regular duties.

Target Compensation Maximum:
$77,600.00
Target Compensation Minimum:
$51,700.00
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
