Job Summary The AP Analyst will be required to form strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, such as the Global Sourcing Team and external vendors. Responsibilities include working on month-end close activities relating to AP processes, auditing activity to meet SOX controls, vendor resolution and other accounting or AP activities as needed. This position can cover key areas of the full cycle accounts payable process including vendor Masterfile management, invoice processing resolutions, and payment processing.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Serve as a liaison between Spectrum Brands and vendors to resolve invoice and payment related issues.Review and validate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for issues or trends.Assist with close activities. Perform accounts payable liability research, and resolution.Resolve and process difficult invoice issues.Perform audits to support Audit Board controls.Research root cause for invoices not flowing into our workflows appropriately.Ensure appropriate approvals are received for AP processes such as invoice postings or vendor maintenance.Maintain or exceed AP team goals.Make independent decisions and own completion of activities. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Profile Bachelor's degree required.Minimum of 1-2 years professional experience preferred.SAP experience strongly desired.OnBase processing experience is a plus.VIM processing experience is a plus.
