As an AI/ML Group Leader, you will spearhead the development of physics-informed ML capabilities for the Department of Defense, playing a pivotal role in strategic leadership and technical execution.
Responsibilities:
Lead and expand a team focused on developing physics-informed ML capabilities. Provide high-level leadership and strategic planning for AI/ML projects. Oversee personnel management and development within the group. Drive business development initiatives and manage proposal submissions. Lead technical execution, providing oversight and guidance on AI/ML projects. Demonstrate strong business management and organizational skills. Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is required. Eligibility for U.S. security clearance is necessary due to interactions with intelligence community and DoD programs. Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physics, operations research, applied mathematics, or related field with 10-12 years of relevant work experience OR Master's degree with 8-10 years of relevant work experience. Proven expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ for software development and data analysis. Demonstrated experience taking projects from problem statement to prototype to production-ready algorithms. Experience in AI/ML research, preferably in physics-informed deep learning, computer vision, or optimization. Strong team player with exceptional presentation and communication skills. Preferences:
Previous leadership experience, including project and/or management roles. Experience in marketing new ideas to DoD customers, writing white papers, and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Ability and willingness to quickly learn new domains. Prior involvement in intelligence and DoD programs. Existing DoD security clearance.
