Adjunct Instructor of Business
Carroll University seeks to hire an Adjunct Instructor of Graduate Business for the Fall 2024 semester. Course: BUS 601 WW: Project Management (3cr)
Time/Days: Online; asynchronous. Course dates run 9/1/2024 - 10/26/2024.
Project Management (PM) is increasingly important in today's business environment. This course covers the fundamental concepts and applied techniques for effective management of projects that vary in length and complexity. The curriculum follows the Project Management Institute's (PMI) guidance using skills within the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Content includes planning, scheduling, organizing, and, controlling projects as it relates to the technical and behavior aspects of a project. In addition, tools and methods regarding strategy and continuous improvement of projects in manufacturing and healthcare industries will be discussed. Course content will prepare students to pursue the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Qualifications: Graduate degree in discipline required; Ph.D. in related discipline is preferred. Must have at least five years of graduate-level teaching experience; certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred. Globally-minded teaching approach and integrative teaching experience are also required. Official transcripts due upon hire. Course: HCA 680 WW Legal, Ethical, Political Issues in Health Care (3cr)
Time/Days: Course offered entirely online; course dates run 10/27/2024 - 12/21/2024
This course will examine the legal, ethical, and political issues affecting health care organizations. The content will address the role of the government and its relationship to other regulatory agencies in the health care industry. Students will also explore the practical application of laws, ethics and policies that impact operational decisions. Qualifications:?A graduate degree in healthcare administration or law degree with experience in the healthcare field is required; a doctoral degree in related disciplines is preferred. Graduate-level teaching experience is strongly preferred. Official transcripts are due upon hire.
