Sales Manager - A day in the role


Each day, you will be contributing to the advancement of the company vision and strategy. You will work collectively with our Founding Partners, Director of Sales, Customer Service Reps and Brokers to ensure sustainable growth and the continuous development of targeted accounts. Travel is a component of this position on a regular basis including customer visits and attending trade shows/conferences.


Sales Manager - Duties & Responsibilities


Responsible for business-to-business sales to retailers and food service accounts.


• Develop action plans to handle leads, qualify opportunities and close business.


• Processes quotes and orders with complete and accurate information.


• Approach opportunities through the understanding of customer needs and requirements, objectively seeking solution-based prospects where product offerings are useful.


• Add value to customers by providing engaging information based on their communicated needs and aligning to our product strengths.


• Present a professional image to customers and suppliers.


• Ability to communicate, schedule appointments, and develop relationships with executive level contacts and facility managers by continually focusing on account penetration.


• Interact with prospects via telephone, video correspondence, email, and trade-show attendance.


• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities to meet deadlines on schedule.


• Work within cross-functional teams to make responsible decisions.


• Accountable for transactional aspects of a customer relationship from solicitation of orders through payment.


• Achieve budgeted sales goals, market penetration, and contribute to company profitability.


• Think strategically and assist with group planning for new program development. Sales Manager - Qualifications


Minimum 3 years' sales experience, ideally experience within the Food/Beverage industry.


• Exceptional written, verbal and presentation communication skills.


• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.


• Positivity, optimism, confidence, effective work ethic.


• Product knowledge - ability to learn and understand all product offerings.


• Intelligent prospecting - capable of scheduling and evaluating targeted market potential.


• Strong relationship building and communication expertise.


• Effective time management - prioritizing opportunities, and management directives.


• After sale relationship management for expansion.


• Ability to collaborate in a team environment.


• Proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
