As our Youth Ministry grows, we are excited to officially launch the search process for a full-time Youth Minister to invest in and disciple our Middle & High School Students!

Job Summary The Youth Minister will plan, organize and direct the youth ministry of Calvary Baptist Church by acting as an advocate, role model, mentor and encourager to our youth and their families. The position seeks to become personally acquainted with current and potential church families.
Duties/Responsibilities: Recruit, train, and coordinate all youth ministry volunteers and leaders
Coordinate and lead programs designed to grow and mature youth within the church
Plan, promote and supervise evangelism, discipleship, education, special events and other activities designed for youth
Lead youth ministry in visitation and outreach to prospects and members
Lead and teach youth, their families, and ministry volunteers in the church
Collaborate with the pastors and church staff in participating and promoting church events
Ensure that weekly youth activities and programs are fully staffed and equipped
Oversee the setup and operation of all youth ministry activities
Oversee and manage events such as youth camps and outreach events
Accept other outreach assignments as related to the overall work and ministry of the church
Maintain needed supplies for Sunday School and other youth program needs
Preferred Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with all forms of technology involving group planning and communication including FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram and other emerging social media
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing software
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Quality leadership skills
Exceptional administrative skills including the ability to supervise, monitor, evaluate and provide feedback to volunteers, pastors and staff
Supervisory Responsibilities: Overseeing of volunteers during youth events, classes and programs
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required
Prefer a degree in or pursuing a ministry related degree and/or experience in leading a church youth ministry
2-5 years in Youth ministry related experience required
Ability to pass a background check and drug test
