Yard Supervisor Dawes Rigging and Crane Rental, Inc. Milwaukee, WI (53222) Position Summary Dawes Rigging and Crane Rental, Inc.-Milwaukee is seeking a motivated individual to work with us as a Yard Supervisor. This individual would be responsible for oversight of the overall operations, organization, maintenance and housekeeping of the yard and yard equipment. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive Benefits package.
Essential Functions Supervises subordinate employees by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy yard environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns. Oversee the activities of subordinate employees with the proper handling of inbound and outbound heavy lift equipment and related components. Ensure yard inventory is organized in a manner that maximizes efficiency and productivity. Coordinate with Dispatch Department to ensure yard activities align with job schedules. Monitor and maintain all yard equipment. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience Requirements Must be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision Ability to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity Ability to safely operate complex construction equipment, including forklifts and tele-handlers Able to lift 50 lbs.
