Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add a Paralegal in St. Louis to work with our Missouri & Illinois Worker's Compensation practice group. This position will require someone who is comfortable with multi-tasking and can autonomously handle a large volume of files along with meeting strict deadlines. Successful candidates should be teachable and have excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple attorneys and their supporting paralegals on a day to day basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and learn more in the legal field!
Responsibilities: Analyze and gather medical records Maintains attorney's calendars, including recording and monitoring court appearance dates, depositions, pleading deadlines, discovery deadlines Preparation of case and medical summaries Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery documents, interrogatories and discovery responses Assist with trial preparation including witness lists, exhibits and trial binders Skills and Specifications: Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability contribute to a positive team atmosphere Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Strong written and verbal and communication skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and general proficiency and ability to learn various software applications Education and Qualifications: Paralegal Certificate or equitable working experience Four year college certificate or degree preferred, but not required 3-5+ years of experience in worker's compensation, personal injury, or medical malpractice Evans & Dixon provides Midwest business clients with sophisticated legal advice, responsive communications and hands-on industry knowledge.
