A Wiring and Harness Design Engineer job is currently available at Belcan Engineering, supporting one of our major aerospace customers on-site at their location in Tukwila, WA. Position can be full-time, direct opportunity with benefits or contract. To be considered for this role, you will need a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of engineering experience or an equivalent degree and experience combination.Wiring and Harness Installation Engineer job duties:Responsible for creation of wiring diagrams and harness manufacturing diagrams from supplied network/block diagrams, schematic diagrams, channelization databases and/or electrical interface control drawings.Responsible for electrical harness routing and identification of support solutions within a variety of aerospace vehicles.Development of 3D models and 2D drawings of pre- and post-production detail parts, assemblies, installations, sub-systems, and integrations for aerospace electrical design.Support customer in electrical hardware integration and internal wiring from design to production phasesTravel 25% or lessRequired:Bachelor's Degree in a recognized engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experienceMust be a U.S. CitizenExperienced with electrical harness design and routing in CAD software CADDS and Catia V5 required.Ability to interpret provided engineering requirements and determine solution paths,Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, communicate technical information effectively with both internal team and external customersManage time efficiently, and produce accurate designsAbility to learn quickly, multitask efficiently, and flexible enough to meet evolving customer prioritization of tasksExperience with aerospace, automotive, or industrial preferred but not required.Preferred:Analysis skills to be able to identify and quickly resolve/mitigate issuesBackground/interest in aerospace (school/internship/work experience)Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.100 drafting standards, SAE AS50881, IPC/WHMA-A-620, ITAR trade complianceExperience with following software tools: PDM/DCAC/MRM, BOEBE Apps for CATIA, CATIA/Enovia, Bogart, WIRS, Electrical Web Apps (WLI/ELI), IVT FASTR, eDATExperience with CAD Software UGNX, Creo, Mentor Graphics, Zuken, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc. are also considered.We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $100,000 to $125,000.
