Nature of the Work: Shop leader that oversees shop personnel and leads all phases of the tinting and PPF process to ensure that all vehicles and buildings are efficiently tinted/filmed to Pro-Touch standards of quality. Essential Job Duties [1] : Trains, develops, motivates, coaches, and assists all tint/film employees in the shop, and communicates with the Location Manager regarding the management of personnel as appropriate. Develops and oversees the weekly and daily scheduling of work and directs the movement of vehicles through the system assuring the quality and timeliness of jobs. Oversees the organization of the shop and recommends lean improvements for processes, layout, etc. in tint/film department. Organizes, labels and stores tint/film, including all RO information, to make sure each technician has everything needed to continue / complete the job. Sets a positive tone with all technicians for open and honest communication and teamwork. Communicates proactively with the Location Administration (Location Manager, Office Manager, etc.) on all levels to update schedules, status on supplies, and to share information on the repair as it moves through the shop. Assigns all work and labor for technicians and serves as referee when multiple technicians' work overlaps. Runs daily production and release meetings, communicating status and completion deadlines, and updates Administration to the status of all vehicles. Directs the quality control process, performing and signing off on all quality control checks with each technician. Tracks and records re-do's and comebacks. Monitors all technicians and others who enter the shop for compliance with all safety guidelines and laws (including wearing safety glasses). Updates production board and communicates status of all vehicles with technicians. Maintains clean and orderly shop and commercial jobs.
