YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS A WELLNESS DIRECTOR Your schedule as the Wellness Director is Tuesday to Saturday from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Additionally, you are on call to address any urgent matters that may arise outside of regular working hours.
As the Wellness Director at our senior living community, your responsibilities revolve around overseeing the wellness programs and services provided to our senior residents. You start each day by ensuring the wellness team is prepared and equipped to deliver exceptional care. This may include reviewing schedules, coordinating staff assignments, and addressing any immediate concerns. You also have the opportunity to lead team meetings, providing guidance and support to your staff. Throughout the day, you regularly engage with residents, assessing their individual needs and preferences. You work closely with them to develop personalized wellness plans that promote their overall well-being. This may involve coordinating medical appointments, facilitating recreational activities, or arranging therapy sessions. Collaboration with other departments are essential to ensure seamless care for our residents. You communicate and coordinate with nurses, dining services, and activities directors to create a comprehensive approach to wellness. This coordinator position is the main point of contact for residents' families. It involves regular communication, providing updates on their loved ones' well-being, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
