The UnityPoint wellness department is dedicated to providing opportunities to learn, enhance and empower high-level wellness services for UPH employees & spouses/domestic partners. The Wellness Coordinator coordinates day-to-day operations of UPH employee wellness. This includes planning, organizing, implementation, evaluation and administration of all components of the health and wellness programming. Skills include health coaching, public speaking, phlebotomy skills, data collection, blood pressure and body composition measurement. The Wellness Coordinator plays a key role in representing department services and information in an accurate and professional manner.
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science, Health Promotion/management, Health Education or related health field.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in health/wellness-related area desired. Past experience providing health coaching, biometric screenings, public speaking & coordinating and promoting wellness programming. Ability to motivate individuals and groups and ability to form positive relationships co-workers, clients and patients. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Previous presentation experience and skills is desired. Must be competent in phlebotomy or desire to learn phlebotomy skill.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Coaching certificate such as Totally Coached, Motivational Interviewing.
