We're looking for passionate and qualified individuals to join our team as adjunct or part-time faculty members in Welding Technology. Responsibilities:
Create and facilitate engaging learning experiences in Welding Technology, aligned with identified college pathways and career goals.
Develop authentic assessments to measure students' knowledge, skills, and abilities, ensuring alignment with course, program, and college-wide outcomes.
Implement diverse teaching and learning strategies to support students' cognitive and kinesthetic development.
Provide guidance and support to students both inside and outside the classroom, connecting them with campus resources as needed.
Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate classes on various days and times.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Five years of journey-level welding experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain American Welding Society Welding Inspector certification within six months of hiring.
Washington State Professional Technical Vocational Certificate or ability to become vocationally certified.
Degree/certificate or completion of a recognized apprenticeship related to welding.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience instructing adult learners or industry workers.
Familiarity with A.W.S. and A.S.M.E. welding code interpretation.
A.W.S. Certified Welding Educator (CWE) certification.
Current A.W.S. Welding Inspector certification.
Experience administering welder certifications.
Proficiency in budget and inventory tracking.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
