Job Description The Water Business Line of  AECOM  is actively seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager for our Kansas City, MO office. 
The qualified candidate should have in-depth experience in the analysis and design of water/wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, collection systems, and conveyance, as well as experience in project management and client relationships. This role offers an exciting opportunity to focus on client business growth, project delivery leadership and mentoring of developing engineering staff by leveraging top notch regional and national water/wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities to expand AECOM's KS/MO area business. The appropriately qualified applicant will have the opportunity to manage and work with an established team of professional engineers on a variety of water, wastewater, and storm water design projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Working with senior members of our Water Business Line team to seek new municipal business opportunities  Managing projects, including scoping, task management, invoicing and final closeout. Planning, scheduling, conducting/coordinating detailed phases of engineering work of a major project, or several small-moderate scope projects Supervising and mentoring junior staff  Overseeing the planning and design of various project elements, the preparation of project reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans and specifications, permitting packages, and documents for inclusion in the final project deliverables  Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Preferred Qualifications : 6+ years of design experience related to Water treatment and/or conveyance PE license in the state of Missouri/Kansas or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire Experience working on municipal projects Experience and familiarity with the following programs is preferred: ArcGIS, SWMM, and/or Storm/Sewer/WaterCAD, ATF Fathom, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Experience working with local clients in the Kansas City area region is a plus. Proven interpersonal skills, including client interaction, public speaking and persuasive ability; strong project financial management along with ability to work in and work towards leading a diverse, multi-disciplined team. Additional Information Offered rate of compensation (Missouri locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications , experience, and work location. The target salary range for this position is $110,000 -$149,000. AECOM is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits program to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
