Wastewater Operator Rd Shift

DescriptionPosition at JBS USA Waste Water Treatment Operator
Perform operations and maintenance duties on the company's Process water collection and pre-treatment system. Including; monitoring facility's discharge, operation of recovery system's and maintaining equipment to insure compliance is met in accordance with the Industrial User Discharge Permit and other Regulatory requirements.
Responsibility
Performs daily monitoring of the plant functions which includes accessing the daily demands and making appropriate adjustments to meet those demandsMust meet and comply with the Industrial User Discharge PermitCollects samples for onsite and offsite analysisOperates, and maintains wastewater pre-treatment and #2 Tallow recovery operationPromptly troubleshoot; process, instrumentation, data, and mechanical problemsPerform basic maintenance, repair, and calibrationDocument and report needed system improvementsDevelop and continuously update operational SOPs and readiness plansPerform preventive maintenance as scheduled in the PM programRecords equipment meter readings, water meter readings, and operation log entriesSafe Handling of Pre-Treatment ChemicalsPerforms other duties as deemed necessary or assigned by General ForepersonQualifications
Must be able to lift, push or carry up to 45lbsBasic Computer skills, preferred MicrosoftMust be willing to work nights and weekends as well as occasional 12 hour shifts to cover vacationsEOE/VETS/DISABILITY
