Responsibilities
• Assist in receiving, production food & equipment inventory control, and equipment transfers• Organize and direct lower personnel in operational needs• Assist Nutrition Center Plant Manager• Carry or truck last minute or emergency supplies to storage areas• Use menu database to fill advance meal requisitions and organize stage picking• Maintain storage areas in production• Assist with menu and product identification• Perform data entry• Issue stock according to picking lists, requisitions, and delivery tickets• Load/unload deliveries properly and check weights, quantity, quality, and specs• Obtain signatures and complete required documents• Comply with shipping and receiving regulations, health and safety regulations, and FIFO standards• Inform supervisor of any current or outstanding issues• Interact with coworkers in shipping, production, and purchasing departments• Oversee monthly production inventories• Use computer and software necessary for the position• Report damaged or non-specification supplies to supervisor• Responsible for smallware transfers and requests• Drive the FNS van for small deliveries or catering• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, director, or designee
Requirements
• Working knowledge of all warehouse equipment• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull heavy loads• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities• Excellent work attendance• Ability to meet deadlines• Knowledge of stock issuing• Ability to perform load/unload deliveries and complete required documents• Compliance with shipping, receiving, health, and safety regulations• Ability to use computer and software• Report damaged or non-specification supplies• Valid driver's license (for driving the FNS van)
