Warehouse Manager Charleston Lighting and Interiors Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Manager. The person in This position plays a crucial role in overseeing shipping and receiving operations, managing project shipment scheduling, processing returns and warranties, maintaining warehouse organization, and proficiently utilizing computer-based operating system.
Responsibilities: Manage daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling incoming and outgoing shipments. Coordinate project shipment scheduling, working closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of goods. Process returns and warranties efficiently, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams as necessary. Work with customers directly for scheduling shipment or pick-up of sold goods. Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness to optimize space utilization and workflow. Utilize computer-based systems, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Prophet 21 for inventory management, order processing, communication, and data entry. Demonstrate a general familiarity with computer technology, troubleshooting basic issues independently, and escalating complex technical concerns as needed. Assist in training and supervising warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures. Collaborate with other departments to fulfill customer orders and address any logistical challenges. Monitor inventory levels and assist in conducting regular inventory counts to reconcile discrepancies and maintain necessary stock levels of commodity items. Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. Requirements: Significant previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics management required preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively. Proficiency in using computer-based systems, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and our Company Operating System for inventory management and order processing. General familiarity with computer technology and the ability to troubleshoot basic issues independently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external partners. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in handling shipments and data entry. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on new challenges. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is advantageous.
