The Federal Health Sector has an opportunity for a VP Strategy for Digital Transformation who will focus on emerging technology and cyber security. Working across the sector and first serving as the CISO for a large Federal COTS Electronic Health Records (EHR) solution; you will identify, investigate, mitigate, and resolve information security risks across an enterprise roll-out.
You will advise customers on digital transformation and modernization initiatives including moves to the Cloud, assessing feasibility of low code /no code platforms, PaaS and SaaS offerings. As a CISO for a large EHR implementation, you will develop processes, procedures, and associated documentation relative to security of computer systems, networks and telecommunications along with addressing privacy, confidentiality, and standards administration. You will serve as a leader for team investigations and addresses various information security and privacy issues, utilizing in-depth technical knowledge of cybersecurity systems and processes. HOW A YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Leads large digital modernizations serving as chief advisor to the customers Leads design sessions and discussions with vendors coordinating efforts to bring the best solutions for our customers Acts as advisor to the Federal Agency and GDIT on the Cyber Security needs of the program. Maintains Cyber Security compliance for the program. Develops and implements strategic, technical, and operational security/infrastructure controls that are properly aligned with program goals and objectives Reviews and prioritizes needs and analyzes project costs and feasibility Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology and Federal Cyber Security Standards Manage the timely response and investigation efforts for security incidents, breaches, and forensics to meet all regulatory and business requirements and minimize their impact. Ensure that information security strategies and processes meet all regulatory and business requirements so that the impacts of incidents are minimized. Provide regular reporting on the status of information security efforts to GDIT Leadership and enterprise risk teams, and senior business leaders. Facilitate a metrics and reporting framework to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the security program, facilitate appropriate resource allocation, and increase the maturity of the security WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (required): BA/BS degree and 10+ years of experience working in Digital Modernization and as Information Security Officer. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered 3+ years working on Federal programs in the Health IT space CISSP, CISM, CISA, or other industry certifications Experience implementing and knowledge of FedRamp, NIST, FISMA, Zero Trust and ATO standards and processes, along with Federal and State Laws that apply to protected health information. Experience and proven expertise in securing sensitive medical data across diverse formats and platforms in a nationwide network of healthcare facilities. Experience in managing and overseeing complex data transition projects, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and implementing robust security measures during all stages of COTS modernization (such as EHR applications) Proficient in risk assessment and mitigation strategies, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and threats in healthcare IT, especially during large-scale data migrations. The likely salary range for this position is $176,000 - $264,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Scheduled Weekly Hours:
