Axxel is looking for a

VP or a Senior Associate in Mergers and Acquisitions

to assist in offering its clients the most personalized service in all aspects of an M&A transaction.
Typical mandates the applicant will target will be North American-based clients looking to divest or acquire companies valued between $10M and $200M. Axxel offers a competitive salary with a substantial upside when closing transactions.
Axxel offers a dynamic and challenging environment, fast-paced transactional advisory service, vigilant attention to detail, and a 360° view of deals.
Having advised clients across North America, we are now looking for talent to help the team acquire new US-based sell or buy side engagements.

Responsibilities:
• Work on setting up and executing a proper business development strategy.
• Prospecting new opportunities.
• Support analysis of potential acquisitions and divestiture opportunities.
• Ability to interact with legal and finance professionals and senior management.
• Provide support as required on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or law (corporate or tax).
• 3 to 5 years of experience in finance or corporate/tax law, of which 2+ years must be relevant experience to this type of position.
• Self-motivated with a thirst for knowledge.
• Highly organized and relentless in business development initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Most importantly, an outstanding personality.
