We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President (VP) of Sales to join our team. In this high-level executive role, you will play a pivotal part in leading and managing our sales department across North and South America. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth and ensuring that our sales strategies are aligned with our overall business objectives and technical roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for each business unit, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Analyze market trends, competition, and key-customer technology roadmaps to identify opportunities and threats.
Collaborate with headquarters and various sites to determine pricing strategies, product positioning, and sales tactics.
Sales Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and motivate business unit leaders and the sales team to achieve sales targets.
Set performance metrics and goals, and regularly assess and improve team performance.
Recruit, train, and onboard sales professionals as necessary.
Revenue Growth:
Drive revenue growth by expanding our customer base and increasing sales to existing customers.
Monitor and analyze sales metrics and KPIs to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
Develop and manage sales budgets to ensure cost-effective operations.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
Address customer concerns and resolve issues to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Ensure the sales team provides excellent customer service.
Market Expansion:
Identify and explore new market opportunities and expansion strategies for organic growth.
Evaluate potential partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions aligned with our company's vision.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
Generate regular reports on sales performance, revenue forecasts, and market trends.
Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure sales activities comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
Maintain high product and service quality to meet customer expectations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
Proven track record of successful sales leadership and achieving revenue targets.
Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Knowledge of industry-specific trends and market dynamics.
Familiarity with sales software and CRM systems.
Adept at managing budgets and financial performance.
