Colder Products Company (CPC) is the leading provider of quick disconnect couplings, fittings and connectors for plastic tubing. At CPC, we believe that fluid handling should be safe and easy. Special features of our products include precise hose barbs for superior grip, built-in shutoff valves for preventing spills, and easy-to-use, push-button thumb latches for quick connecting and disconnecting. CPC is a Dover company based in St. Paul with global offices and operations in Europe and Asia.
The VP of Operations and Supply Chain leads all aspects of developing and executing the global manufacturing, continuous improvement, logistics, strategic sourcing, supply chain, and safety for the company. Provides leadership and direction to achieve best in class safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance. Reporting to CPC's President, the Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain is a key member of the senior management team and will partner with cross-functional leadership to drive continued growth in revenue, profit, employee engagement and organizational capability.
Duties and Responsibilities: At this leadership level, this position must lead in a proactive, rather than reactive, way. Having the innate capacity to balance being both strategic and tactical will be key to job satisfaction and success. Provide strategic leadership and expertise to the Supply Chain and Manufacturing organizations in a ISO 13485 regulated environment. Develops, manages and ensures the execution of strategic goals and plans to ensure global manufacturing excellence. Drives leading edge lean operations, processes and technologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, and reduce costs. Leads global operational efficiencies, inventory efficiencies and economies of scale. Strategically partners with internal and external customers and contributes to sharing and implementing best practices with other operating companies. Strategically partners with the CPC executive leadership team in developing and executing the CPC business strategy. Ensures the integration and implementation of pro-active safe work environments. Determines opportunities for improvements and efficiencies. Oversee labor, capital, work in process and inventory to ensure profitability. Energizes the organization and leads required changes. Building and developing a strong management team and succession. Continuously supports employee development to ensure current and future organizational needs. Oversees the management of personnel, budget and other resources to ensure goals and objectives are being met. Adheres to all safety regulations. Demonstrates support of CPC core values. Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs. Essential Supervisory Responsibilities:  Directly and indirectly supervises employees in the Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Safety, Logistics and other global departments.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree is required, and a master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred. The successful candidate will possess at least 15 years plus of progressive strategic leadership within a multi-location global manufacturing and supply chain organization. This will include proven technical expertise in areas such as manufacturing, engineering, inventory planning, quality and logistics leadership. Hands-on international experience is critical given the significant global footprint of the business. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills. Experience in strategic planning and execution along with high degree of comfort managing change. Capable of working in different cultures with an adaptable approach to influencing in different regions. Ability to manage successfully in union-free environments. Strong business background, analytical, organization and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate, influence and inspire. Strong quality knowledge in highly controlled ISO, QS, FDA or similar regulated environment. Proven expertise in driving lean implementation to improve cost, quality, delivery and safety. Knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, TOC. CPIM/CPM/CIRM certification(s). Technical knowledge of plastics molding, tooling and manufacturing. Personal Characteristcs: Absolute personal and intellectual integrity, maintaining the highest ethical standards.

Travel Requirement: 25-40%
