Role Overview:
As the Vice President of Engineering, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our position as a leader in the U.S. solar industry. This entails overseeing product development, leading project engineering teams, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture. You will be integral in shaping the future of renewable energy in the U.S., focusing on our core business lines including feasibility software, ground and canopy racking systems, and the electrical balance of system (eBOS).
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development Oversight: Guide and support the Product Development Leader in enhancing our product initiatives, ensuring a balanced focus on safety, speed, cost, and quality.
Process Enhancement: Standardize and synchronize product development workflows, integrating software and hardware development for optimal customer experiences.
Strategic Leadership: Drive strategic growth in key product lines, contributing to significant sales growth.
Team Leadership: Lead by example to build the best engineering team in the industry, focusing on talent development and recruitment across all engineering disciplines.
Qualifications:
Over 15 years of experience in managing hardware product development, software development, and project engineering.
Expertise in solar tracker technology and integrated hardware-software platforms preferred.
Proven track record in driving new business programs and creating a culture of excellence.
Willingness to travel (~30%) to work closely with teams and customers.
