Role Overview:
In this pivotal position, you will lead our Commercial Lending department, encompassing both sales and underwriting teams. You'll play a crucial role in developing business relationships, guiding the origination, underwriting, evaluation, and recommendation for approval of commercial loans. Your responsibility will extend to monitoring our business members' lending and depository needs, ensuring they receive the highest level of service and support. Visibility and collaboration are key, as your efforts will directly impact our members' experience and success.
What We're Looking For:
A Bachelor's degree in business/finance or a related field, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
Deep understanding of laws and regulations related to Commercial Lending, including risk assessment of various loan types.
Proven experience in commercial credit sales, development, and setting strategic growth objectives.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Foster team development and career growth, ensuring a collaborative effort to prioritize our members' interests while safeguarding the credit union.
Drive the origination, underwriting, and servicing of business/commercial relationships, leveraging trended data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Manage a $250 million commercial loan portfolio, maintaining compliance with loan policy and risk ratings.
Conduct detailed financial analyses to support loan approvals and maintain regulatory compliance across all lending activities.
Proactively cross-sell our broad range of products and services to business members and their employees.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes affecting business lending and depository accounts, ensuring the credit union's practices remain compliant and competitive.
