The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) is currently recruiting a full-time permanent Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist in West Central Wisconsin (WDA 8). DVR maintains 11 Workforce Development Areas (WDAs) across the state where teams of DVR staff work together to assist Wisconsin residents with disabilities with their job search efforts.
This position will have a headquarter location in Eau Claire, Menomonie, or Rice Lake Wisconsin. See all DVR office locations. Applicants will be asked to select their preferred headquarter location in the application process. This position is eligible to work remotely up to 2 days per week after an initial training period. Frequent day-time travel during work hours within WDA 8 (see WDA map) is a requirement of the position. Reimbursement for mileage and a daily meal allowance is provided when in travel status.

Position Summary This position functions in a team environment within the office and is responsible for the coordination of services, collaboration with and education of DVR with stakeholders; program and/or project coordination, and other specialization of tasks related to program development and implementation. This position is responsible for a full range of documentation and accounting-related duties and fiscal activities. This position also provides oversight and monitoring of programs funded and administered by DVR to ensure compliance, efficiency and effective services to people with disabilities as required by federal and state law and contract requirements. Salary Information Starting salary is between $52,873 and $58,593 per year depending on qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefits. For more benefits information, view our benefits overview.
A 12-month probationary period will be required. The classification title for this position is Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist (schedule 12, range 64). This position is not represented in a collective bargaining unit and is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Pay will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan in effect at the time of appointment. Starting pay may vary for current state employees.
Job Details Remote Work: Remote and hybrid-remote work is intended to be performed primarily in Wisconsin. High speed internet access is required to meet the needs of remote work. Remote work is subject to change based on business needs.
