Calvin University is seeking a visiting lecturer in the area of physics and astronomy.This is a full-time, one-year position beginning in August 2023.The appointment is non-tenure-track.

Responsibilities
• Teach undergraduate courses at the introductory level.• Teaching load of 32 credit hours.• Active participation in the department's faculty activities.• Affirm commitment to the educational mission of Calvin University.• Affirm commitment to the Christian Reformed Church creeds and confessions.
Requirements
• Hold a PhD in physics or astronomy, or a related field.• Master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience will also be considered.• Demonstrate excellence in teaching.• Experience teaching using a variety of methods and instructional technology.• Broad interdisciplinary interests.• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.• Ability to integrate questions of meaning, significance, and ethics into course content.• Deep commitment to engaging students beyond the classroom.
