From 26 offices in 15 countries, with projects in over 80 locations worldwide, we create sustainable outcomes for our people, clients and communities.Our Global Consulting team is growing; we are currently recruiting for aVice President, Mining Market Sector Lead, North AmericaThe VP, Mining Market Sector Lead will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the growth strategy for the mining market within Global Consulting. This role requires strong business development acumen within the mining sector, focusing on identifying and nurturing key client accounts to drive growth. The role is ideally based in Tucson, Arizona but flexible to other locations in North America.You should have the leadership skills necessary to strengthen the business performance by creating an inclusive work environment where employees are engaged, excel in their abilities, and clients receive superior service from our diverse project teams.About the roleLead the development and implementation of the mining sector growth strategy for Global Consulting in North America.Collaborate across business lines and regions to ensure alignment and maximizing of opportunities. Work closely with operations, staying abreast of emerging mining sector trends and needs to adapt strategies accordingly. Build strategic connections in the market, nurturing relationships with clients and partners for growth.Utilize internal resources and market knowledge to develop business with new and existing clients, aligning with overall strategy.Provide mentorship and guidance to key client account managers, empowering them to nurture and reinforce relationships with pivotal clients, ensuring both high client satisfaction and business growth.Maintain a high personal profile in the marketplace and actively participate in marketing significant opportunities.Facilitate communication and exchange of best practices among staff in different locations and disciplines.About you20+ years of experience in key account management, market development, and business development within the mining sector.Deep understanding of the mining sector, including industry trends and emerging technologies associated with sustainability and communities. Proven expertise in designing and executing market development strategies and plans.Demonstrated success in managing opportunity forecasts/funnels, consistently exceeding sales targets.Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and provide guidance to others.Familiarity with CRM platforms or other business development tools is beneficial.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing proposals, delivering presentations and strong commercial acumen. Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America frequently with occasional global travel is required.Spanish language skills are an asset.
