Veterinary Technician

DescriptionPosition at Thrive Pet Healthcare Thrive Urgent Care in Torrance is hiring a Veterinary Technician (or RVT) to join our growing team!

This position will make a positive impact on patients, clients and veterinary colleague's lives.

Successful candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in veterinary medicine and an active CA RVT license or working towards licensure. Experience in emergency or exotics highly preferred. Our team culture and dynamics are of the utmost importance and we are searching for the right candidates to build out our fantastic team!We are open 7 days a week, 8am-8pm everyday except Saturdays which is 8am-6pm. There may be opportunities in the future for further extended hours. 

At least one weekend day required. 
Successful candidates will: demonstrate compassion and care for our client's animals.  effectively and respectfully communicate with all fellow team members and clients.  have the ability to multi-task, work well with others, and be self-motivated.  perform triagebe highly skilled in technical work in a fast-paced veterinary setting,  be proficient in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, digital radiography, assist with anesthetic procedures as needed (eg. Urethral obstructions, laceration repairs), value client education, and assist with some reception work when needed.   Hourly Wage: $22-$27/hr depending on experience and skillset.
