Responsibilities
• Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area• Greet and welcome clients and patients• Answer questions and triage client concerns• Answer calls or emails and direct to appropriate party• Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency• Check in and check out clients and process payments• Provide friendly emotional support to clients• Comfortable handling unpleasant odors and noises• May be exposed to bites, scratches, and contagious diseases• Continue to advance knowledge and skillset through training and development
Requirements
• Minimum 1-year veterinary experience• Compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker, strong communicator• Highly organized and possess computer skills• Ability to sit or stand and work at a computer for long periods of time• Confident around animals and ability to handle different species• May require working more than 40 hours per week• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays• Good reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds• Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity
