Job summary
Animal Medical Clinic of Vicksburg is a mixed animal practice assisting with your small and large animal needs.Job duties include cleaning, feeding, medicating, and taking care of patients in the hospital and boarding facility.Qualifications include knowledge of cleaning methods, animal restraint, and ability to perform physical labor.

Responsibilities
• Cleaning, laundry, bathing, feeding, and walking dogs• Medicating patients• Restocking hospital supplies• Assisting with post-operative patients• Helping with animal restraint and exams• Recordkeeping of medications and other relevant information• Possibly cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments
Requirements
• Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting methods• Proper methods of animal restraint• Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment• Physical ability to perform moderately heavy labor• Ability to attend to sick, scared and injured animals• Ability to administer medications and recognize abnormal conditions• Ability to follow oral and written directions• Maintain cooperative relationships with others• Ability to work special hours and occasional extra hours• Mental capacity and language ability to perform job duties• Ambulatory skills and ability to lift up to 50 pounds• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity• Visual abilities required for job tasks• Exposure to animals and hazards in the work environment
