Position Summary This position is for a vacuum furnace operator / copper plate inspector whose primary responsibilities include visual inspecting parts prior to loading into vacuum furnaces, monitoring the furnaces, and ensuring parts are following the prescribed process.
Essential Functions · Inspect copper plate for location, thickness and quality.
· Prepare parts for vacuum carburizing.
· Monitor vacuum furnaces.
· Perform SAT's (System Accuracy Test).
· Maintain quality records.
· Hardness test parts after heat treatment.
Experience and Education · Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
Competencies and Skills · Organized.
· Operate with a sense of urgency while always focusing on safety and quality.
· Good written and verbal communication.
· Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
· Excellent attitude and teamwork.
· Possesses or able to learn basic computer skills.
Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation $40000 - $100000 / year
